Syracuse, N.Y. – The 15th–ranked Syracuse women's basketball team begins a five-game home stand on Sunday, Feb. 10, when the Orange host Boston College in the annual Play 4 Kay game. Prior to the game Syracuse will host a clinic for youth aged 12 years and under celebrating Girls and Women in Sports Day. Tip-off is slated for 2 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. Gates for the pregame clinic in the Carrier Dome backcourt open at 1 p.m.
'Cuse returns home after losing on the road Thursday night at No. 2 Louisville. Sunday's game begins a stretch of five-straight home games that ends Feb. 25 when the Orange aim to break the women's basketball attendance record on ESPN2 against No. 4 Notre Dame. Tickets are on sale now.
Syracuse is 17-5 overall and 6-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference while Boston College is 14-9 overall and rides back-to-back losses into Sunday's game. The Orange are 7-1 at home this season.
Fans are encouraged to join the team in trading in orange for pink in support of breast cancer awareness. 'Cuse is participating in the Play4Kay Free Throw Challenge for the month of February which raises money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Join the challenge by making a pledge for each free throw 'Cuse makes this month. One time donations are also available.
