SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The No. 32-ranked Syracuse women's tennis team is home to host Atlantic Coast Conference foe Virginia Tech Friday, March 15. First serve between the Orange and Hokies is set for 2 p.m. inside Drumlins Country Club.

The dual will be broadcast on ACC Network Extra.

WHAT'S NEW WITH THE ORANGE
Syracuse (9-5, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference) is coming off a 4-1 road win over FAU this past Monday. The Orange have won five of their last six matches.

The Orange checked in at No. 32 in the latest Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association poll, which was released Tuesday, March 12. Senior Gabriela Knutson and junior Miranda Ramirez, Syracuse's top doubles duo, are ranked No. 70 in the country, holding an 8-3 overall record together this season.

In singles, meanwhile, Knutson is No. 42, while Ramirez is No. 77.

SCOUTING THE HOKIES
Virginia Tech is coming off a 7-0 clean sweep over UAB, picking up its second win in a row. Prior to that, the Hokies earned a 5-2 win on the road at William & Mary last week.

Entering the week, the Hokies' Natalie Novotna is ranked No. 101 in the ITA singles poll. She is 6-4 in singles play this spring, playing out of the No. 1 position.

WHAT LIES AHEAD
Syracuse next heads to Winston-Salem, N.C., to battle another conference foe. The Orange play Wake Forest at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 17.
