
Orange and Jackrabbits Will Tip at 7 pm Monday on ESPN

Syracuse, N.Y. – Syracuse and South Dakota State will tip-off at 7 pm on ESPN Monday night in the second round of the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament. The three-seed Orange host the six-seed Jackrabbits with a trip to the Sweet Sixteen on the line. The winner of Monday's game moves on to the Portland, Ore. Regional next weekend.
Tickets begin at $15 and are on sale now online. Fans can also purchase tickets through the Carrier Dome Box Office by calling 888-DOME-TIX on Monday beginning at 8:30 am.
South Dakota State advanced to Monday night's round of 32 with a 76-65 win over 11-seed Quinnipiac. Summit League Player of the Year Macy Miller had a game-high 28 points adding 11 rebounds for the only double double of the game. The Jackrabbits shot 40 percent from the field in the win and made 20-of-24 free throw attempts.
Syracuse earned a 70-49 win over 14-seed Fordham in the second game of Saturday's first round games. Nancy Lieberman Award Finalist Tiana Mangakahia nearly had a triple double with a game-high 21 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists. The Brisbane, Australia, native added five steals while Gabrielle Cooper and Maeva Djaldi-Tabdi poured in 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Syracuse is 3-0 in NCAA Tournament games entering Monday night. It is the first meeting in program history between the Orange and Jackrabbits.
