
Orange Move Up to #3 In Media Poll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse moved up one spot to No. 3 in the Inside Lacrosse media rankings released on Monday, March 25. The Orange remain at No. 4 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll for the fifth consecutive week.

The top two teams were unchanged in both polls as Boston College remains at No. 1, while Maryland comes in at No. 2. Syracuse is No. 3 in the media rankings, followed by North Carolina at No. 4.

The Tar Heels hold down the No. 3 spot in the coaches poll, with the Orange at No. 4. UNC earned 558 points, while the 'Cuse is just 12 points behind with 556.

Syracuse improved its overall record to 10-2 and improved to 3-1 in ACC play with a 10-9 win against then No. 8/12 Notre Dame on Sunday. Junior Emily Hawryschuk scored four times, including the game-tying and game-winning goals, while junior goalkeeper Asa Goldstock recorded 11 saves. With her performance, Goldstock became the fourth player in school history to record 400 career saves.

The Orange return to the Carrier Dome to host Albany on Wednesday, March 27 at 6 p.m. Admission and parking are free. Syracuse returns to ACC action when it faces No. 12/13 Duke on Saturday, March 30 in Durham. Both games will be broadcast by ACC Network Extra.
