CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – No. 4/4 Syracuse will try to do what no other team has been able to do this season when it takes on Boston College in the ACC Women's Lacrosse Tournament semifinals on Friday, April 26. The Eagles enter the game undefeated and are ranked No. 1 in the nation. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m. at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (15-3) beat Virginia in the first round of the ACC Tournament, 12-10, on Wednesday. The Orange dominated the first half as they used a 7-0 scoring run to build a 9-2 halftime lead. The defense only allowed two goals in the first half on five shots on goal.

Junior Emily Hawryschuk jumpstarted the offense by scoring four goals in the first half against the Cavaliers. She finished with five points. Redshirt junior Mary Rahal and sophomore Sam Swart scored two goals each as seven Orange were able to put the ball in the back of the net Junior goalkeeper Asa Goldstock had nine saves, including six in the second half to secure the win for the Orange.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Boston College is the No. 1 team in the nation according to the coaches and Inside Lacrosse media polls. The Eagles improved their record to 18-0 with a 15-4 victory against Louisville in the first round of the ACC Tournament.

The Eagles had nine different players score in the win against the Cardinals. Junior Cara Urbank and sophomore Jordan Lappin each had a hat trick. Boston College senior Sam Apuzzo, last year's Tewaaraton Award winner, was held to only one goal and one assist. Apuzzo is a first-team All-ACC selection and leads the Eagles in goals (72) and points (98). Graduate student Kenzie Kent leads the team in assists with 58. In goal for the Eagles is sophomore Abbey Ngai. She has a save percentage of .523 and a goals-against average of 9.29.

Acacia Walker-Weinstein is her seventh season at the helm of the Eagles' program. Last season she led the Eagles to an undefeated regular season and an ACC Championship. Boston College finished runner-up in the NCAA Tournament.

SERIES HISTORY
Friday's game will be the 21st matchup between the Orange and the Eagles. Syracuse leads the all-time series, 15-5. Earlier this season the two squads played in the Carrier Dome where Boston College was able to hold one for a 14-12 victory over the Syracuse. The two-goal win was the smallest margin of victory that Boston College has had all season.

The winner of the Boston College-Syracuse game will face the winner of the North Carolina-Duke contest in the ACC Championship game on Sunday, April 28.
