No. 10 Orange Open Spring Season against No. 11 Wisconsin

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 10 Syracuse begins its season with a neutral-site race against No. 11 Wisconsin Saturday, April 6, in Chicago, Ill.

"It's great to open spring racing against a tough team like Wisconsin," captain Forrest Sears said. "They're always a strong crew that will race to the very end so it's a good gut check for both squads early in the season."

In last year's dual, the Badgers' won the varsity eight, but the Orange claimed victories in both the second and third varsity eights. 'Cuse's 3V8+ stormed back to erase Wisconsin's three-seat lead and win by 1.7 seconds.

The Orange finished eighth at the IRA Championships last season, while the Badgers placed 11^th overall.

Following Saturday's race, the Orange will travel to Annapolis, Md., to compete for the Goes Trophy against No. 12 Cornell and No. 15 Navy on April 20.
