ORANGE AT THE PAYTON JORDAN INVITE
- One of the nation's premier distance events, the Payton Jordan has been a staple for the Orange to head west to Stanford and compete against the nation's best collegians and professionals.
- It was at this meet last season that Stoner set the Syracuse 5k record (15:41.26), besting Sarah Pagano's previous record by seven seconds. At that same meet, Justyn Knight turned in his second top-10 5k performance in NCAA history.
- In 2017, Knight ran what was the nation's best 5000-meter time, where he set the school record that still stands today.
STONER'S SEASON
- The senior kicked off her final track campaign out west already this year on the same track, finishing second in the 10k at record pace at the Stanford Invitational.
- Her time is the 12th-fastest in collegiate history (32:07.36), and the second-fastest nationally this season.
- She also turned in the nation's sixth-fastest time in the 3000-meter steeplechase (10:01.36).
- Stoner is coming off an ACC indoor championship in the 5k this winter and is looking to better her third-place finish from the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships last spring.
