
Hawryschuk Invited to U.S. National Team Training Camp

SPARKS, Md. – Syracuse rising senior Emily Hawryschuk is one of 36 players who will take part in U.S. Women's Lacrosse Training Camp this week in Sparks, Md. She will be joined at the three-day session by former Orange Becca Block '13, Liz Hogan '11, Kayla Treanor '16 and Michelle Tumolo '13, as the U.S. builds toward the 2021 World Lacrosse Women's Championship.

Hawryschuk, who earned her first invitation to train with the national team, was one of the top scorers in the nation in 2019. She finished the year with 94 points on 75 goals and 19 assists, all of which were career highs. The Victor, N.Y. native was a first-team All-ACC and All-Northeast Region selection. In addition, Hawryschuk was one of the 25 nominees for the Tewaaraton Award.

Block, Treanor and Tumolo helped Team USA claim the World Cup in 2017. Treanor and Tumolo were named to the All-World Team. Hogan is also a veteran of the U.S. program. Â All four currently play in the Women's Professional Lacrosse League (WPLL).

The 36 players invited to the training camp will have two practice sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday with an intra-squad scrimmage on Thursday morning at 10 a.m.
