
Aouani Takes Fourth at World University Games

Iliass Aouani took fourth at the World University Games in the 10,000-meters, crossing the line in 29:41.97.
The ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year and two-time ACC Champion this season finished his spring strong, representing Italy at the event in his home country.

Aouani, who was a USTFCCCA Honorable Mention All-American in the 10k after setting an ACC record in the event this year, was five seconds behind South Africa's Adriaan Wildschutt for bronze. Mokofane Milton Kekana of South Africa took the gold in 29:29.43.
The Milan, Italy native's performance comes on the heels of Laura Dickinson taking fifth in the women's race the day prior.
