Syracuse, N.Y. – After going 2-0 during the first road trip of the season, the No. 18 Syracuse University field hockey team returns home to kick off the season at J.S. Coyne Stadium Monday, Sept. 2, against Lafayette (1-0). Parking and admission are free. Fans can watch the game live on ACC Network Extra (ACCNX) online or via the WatchESPN App.

The Orange were led by freshman Charlotte de Vries who scored three goals, including two game-winners, during the weekend road trip to Vermont (W, 4-3 OT) and UMass Lowell (W, 1-0). Sarah Sinck recorded a pair of wins in goal and made a career-high 11 saves in Sunday's win over UMass Lowell en route to her first career shutout.

Lafayette began the season with a 2-1 win over VCU at home Friday night. Sam Di Maio and Felicitas Hannes each scored for the Leopards while Sarah Park made six saves in the win.

Monday is the first meeting between the two squads since 2006. The Orange lead the all-time series 11-5-2 and have won three of the last four meetings.
