SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse hosts Central New York foe Cornell on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7:00 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Admission and parking are free. The match is the final of five consecutive home matches for the Orange.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse is coming off a 0-0 tie against No. 20 Louisville on Friday. It is the third tie for the Orange in as many games. The last time Syracuse recorded three consecutive ties was in 2010.

Leading the Orange, this season is sophomore Ryan Raposo. Raposo has four goals and 10 points in five matches. His four goals ranks fourth in the ACC. Sophomore Hili Goldhar has two assists, which tie for the team lead with Raposo.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED
Cornell (2-1) is on a two-game winning streak after defeating Fairleigh Dickinson, 1-0, on Saturday. Sophomore Emeka Eneli scored the game-winning goal. Emeka , junior Harry Fuller and freshman Will Citron have one goal each through three games.

In goal for Big Red are senior Ryan Shellow and freshman Brady McSwain. Combined, they have a .714 save percentage and a 1.31 goals-against average.

Head coach John Smith has been at the helm of the Cornell program since 2016. Formerly with Stanford, Smith was named the NSCAA Far West Region Assistant Coach of the Year in 2014.

THE SERIES
Cornell leads the all-time series with Syracuse, 35-29-7, but the Orange came out victorious when they faced the Big Red last season. Raposo scored a goal early in the match on an assist from Goldhar to give the Orange the lead. A few minutes later Raposo assisted on Len Zeugner's goal that gave Syracuse a 2-0 win in Ithaca.

UP NEXT
Syracuse is heading on the road for the first time since the season opener to face ACC rival and No. 1-ranked Wake Forest. Kick-off is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 at 7:30 p.m. The match will be available to watch on ACC Network Extra.
