
Track Back in Action This Weekend

After an off weekend, the Orange track and field teams are back in action in a big way at the Dr. Sandler Invite/Columbia Challenge at The Armory in New York and the John Thomas Terrier Classic.
MEET COVERAGE
- Both events will be broadcast, with the Dr. Sander meet available on USATF.TV and NBC Sports Gold

DR. SANDER PREVIEW
- Action gets underway at 1:30 on Friday, with Eunice Boateng, Aja Davis, Denisha Page, Dasia Pressley and Justice Richardson representing 'Cuse in the 60-meter dash.
- Jordan Davenport and Chris Tucker will do the same for the 'Cuse men.
- Friday prelims wrap up with the 60-meter hurdles as Shaleah Colaire, Jamil Adams, Andrew Aguilera, Tyler Garland and Naseem Smith all racing at 2:05 (women) and 2:20 (men).
- The finals of each event then begin at 3:10 for those qualifiers and continues in succession.
- On Saturday, Alexis Crosby and Colaire will race in the women's 400-meters, while Adams and Aguilera will run for the men.
- Pressley, Page, Davis, Boateng and Davenport will race for the Orange in the 200 to close out individual events at 2 p.m.
- Finally, 'Cuse will have a women's 4x400-meter relay team race to close out the weekend.
- In addition to the current Orange, 'Cuse legend Justyn Knight will be at the Armory as well, racing in the men's mile.
BOSTON PREVIEW:
- The distance runners will head to the John Thomas Invitational and BU's track for the first time this weekend.
- This event is traditionally all about the mile. 'Cuse has broken four minutes in the men's mile five years in a row this weekend of the indoor slate.
- Syracuse will also have runners in the 3 and 5k this weekend.
LAST YEAR IN BOSTON
- Senior Aidan Tooker broke 4-minutes in the mile running 3:59.39.
- Syracuse men's runners have broken 4-minutes in the mile for five consecutive seasons dating back to 2014. The BU track has always been a spot where 'Cuse heavily races in the mile.
-Freshman Michael Phillips also posted a strong performance in the mile at this meet last year, finishing in 4:02.57. He was followed by freshman Noah Beveridge (4:09.21) and sophomore Nathan Henderson (4:09.66)
- Senior Joe Dragon finished second and ran an overall personal best in the 5000 meters of 14:05.59, followed by seniors Kevin James in fifth(14:14.74) and Dominic Hockenbury in 10th(14:25.34).
