
Orange, Demon Deacons Meet Sunday at 4pm

Syracuse (9-9, 3-4 ACC) travels to the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Sunday afternoon to take on Wake Forest (11-8, 4-4 ACC) at 4:00 p.m. on ACC Network Extra. 'Cuse looks to win its second straight conference road game to move to .500 in the ACC.Â
The Orange are hoping to rebound after a loss to Duke on Thursday night. Kiara Lewis led the way with 14 points, her eighth straight game leading Syracuse in scoring and sixth game this season scoring in double figures while also adding at least five rebounds and assists. The redshirt junior comes into Sunday's matchup with a team high 17.7 points per game.

Gabrielle Cooper added 11 points on Thursday night. At least two of the trio of Lewis, Cooper, and Emily Engstler have scored in double figures in 14 of Syracuse's 18 games this season. In games where all three scored at least 10 points, the Orange are 4-1.

Wake Forest is coming off a 70-65 loss to No. 14 Florida State Thursday night at LJVM Coliseum. Junior Ivana Raca scored a career-high 27 points, and had a season-high four assists. Â The Serbian forward leads the Demon Deacons with 10.3 points per game. The loss to Florida State was Wake's first home ACC loss of the season.Â
Syracuse leads the all-time series against Wake Forest, 6-1, since the two teams became conference foes. The Orange beat the Deacons 77-75 in the Carrier Dome last season to win their fourth-straight game in the all-time series.Â
Following Sunday's game, the Orange return home to host Virginia Tech at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 on ACC Network. Tickets for the game start at $10 for adults and $5 for youth under 12.
