Syracuse (0-4, 0-4 ACC) faces its second consecutive top-five opponent when it hosts #5 Duke (4-1-2, 2-1-2 ACC) on Sunday, October 18, at 11 a.m. The game from the SU Soccer Stadium is available on RSN.

SAVED BY PROULX
Senior goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx is coming off a career-best 14 saves in her last outing. She stymied the Tar Heels with the 14 stops, the top saves total in the ACC this fall.
Proulx led the conference in saves a season ago and tops the league in saves per game this year (9.5). She's logged every minute of every Syracuse game since the start of the 2019 campaign.

STARTING
Junior forward Meghan Root has started 28 consecutive games for the Orange, a squad-leading mark. Senior Shannon Aviza has been with the first string for 21 straight matches and Proulx's streak is at 20.

THE DUKE SERIES
Duke has a 4-0-1 advantage in the all-time series with Syracuse. The results include a 4-1 victory from 2019.

VISITING TEAMS WITH HIGH NUMBERS
For the first time since 2015, Syracuse is up against back-to-back foes ranked in the top five. The Orange were defeated by #1 North Carolina on Thursday, 2-0. Sunday's encounter features #5 Duke.
In 2015, the Orange tangled with #1 Virginia and #2 North Carolina in consecutive dates.

PITCH PERFECT
Syracuse is in the midst of four straight contests on the beautiful grass in the SU Soccer Stadium. After the encounter with Duke on Sunday, the Orange have matches with Boston College on October 22 and Pittsburgh on October 25.
