SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Syracuse ice hockey worked its magic Saturday afternoon to roll past non-conferene opponent RPI at Tennity Ice Pavilion. The 5-1 victory featured goals from Anna Leschyshyn, Lauren Bellefontaine, Abby Moloughney, Emma Polaski, and Kelli Rowswell. Jessica DiGirolamo and Rowswell both reached the 50-point mark of their careers in the victory, and senior goaltender Ady Cohen recorded her 10th career victory.
Â
"They're a good, smart team that's played some tough opponents and we knew we needed to score multiple goals to get past them," head coach Paul Flanagan said. "This win was important for our kids to get their confidence up, and it gave us some opportunities to try new things out on the ice. As we go into this next week and get ready for RIT, hopefully our kids are feeling good about themselves and have a good, productive week."
