Orange Travel to UNC Thursday Night

Syracuse (12-11, 6-6 ACC) travels to Chapel Hill, N.C. to take on North Carolina (16-8, 7-6 ACC) in Carmichael Arena on Thursday night. The Orange are coming off a 59-51 win over No. 5 Louisville at home last Sunday and have won back-to-back ACC games. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. on Regional Sports Networks (YES Network in Syracuse) with Dean Linke and Kelley Deyo on the call.Â
Kiara Lewis was named National Player of the Year by College Sports Madness after averaging 23.5 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.5 steals and 2.5 assists over the two-game stretch. Syracuse held the Cardinals to their lowest scoring performance of the season in their last outing and forced 22 Louisville turnovers.
North Carolina rides a two-game losing streak into Thursday's game. The Tar Heels have lost three out of their last five and last won an ACC home game on Feb. 2 against Clemson. Janelle Bailey leads all scorers with 15.2 points per game and four other Heels average double figures in scoring.
Thursday is the 11th meeting all-time between the two teams. Syracuse leads the all-time series 6-4 and has won the last four meetings.

The Orange are back in the Carrier Dome for their annual Play4Kay/Pink Game on Sunday, Feb. 16 vs. Pittsburgh at 1 p.m. Fans can email Emily Quigley (athmkt02@syr.edu) for more information on how to be part of the ceremony.
