On this date (4/7/2003): NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! Carmelo Anthony led the way with 20 points, 10 rebounds & 7 assists in an 81-78 win vs. Kansas. Gerry McNamara hit 6 first half 3-pointers, while Hakim Warrick finished it with "the block."

On this date (3/21/2010): Wes Johnson had a career-high 31 pts & 14 reb and Andy Rautins scored 24 to lead the Orange to a 87-65 win over Gonzaga in Buffalo to send 'Cuse to the Sweet 16. Brandon Triche added 13 points and Scoop Jardine had 9. Rautins made 5 3-pointers and Johnson had 4 as the Orange set a program NCAA Tourney record with 12 treys.

On this date (3/17/2012): The Orange defeated Kansas State, 75-59, in Pittsburgh to advance to the Sweet 16. Dion Waiters scored a game-high 18 points to lead four SU players in double figures. Scoop Jardine had 16 points and eight assists, while James Southerland and Kris Joseph scored 15 and 11 points, respectively. Rakeem Christmas had a then-career-high 11 rebounds. The Orange shot 51 percent overall (23-of-45) and were 6-of-9 from long range. They would move on to the East Regional in Boston to face Wisconsin.
