Hawryschuk Named IL "Clutch Player of the Year"

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Senior Emily Hawryschuk has once again been recognized for her performance in 2020. Inside Lacrosse has named her its women's Clutch Player of the Year.
Hawryschuk led the Orange and ranked second in the nation in goals with 39. She scored five or more goals in five of eight games in the shortened 2020 season and posted seven or more points three times. Hawryschuk was named to the Teewaraton Award Watch list in February and earned a spot on the Inside Lacrosse media All-America First Team.
The Victor, N.Y. native recorded the final three goals to thrwart No. 6 Northwestern's comeback attempt in a 16-11 Syracuse victory on Feb. 21. It was the Orange's first win in Evanston in their ninth try. A week later, Hawryschuk recorded six points (5g, 1a) to lead Syracuse to a 10-5 victory at No. 9 Maryland. She scored as many or more goals than the 'Cuse's opponent three times.
The Orange finished the year with a 7-1 record and ranked No. 4 in both the IWLCA and Inside Lacrosse media rankings.
