Kenneth Hubbard, a senior on the Syracuse men's rowing team, has been recognized by USRowing as one of the athletes who had been selected to participate in the 2020 Under 23 Men's National Team Selection Camp this summer. While the event has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Hubbard is the first Orange invitee since Noah Messner and Dominic Santora in 2017. That year, Messner and Santora made the U23 8+ that finished fourth at the World Rowing Under 23 Championships.

The camp was scheduled to take place in Boston where athletes from all over the country were set to compete for a spot on the U23 National Team that was slated to race at the 2020 World Rowing Under 23 Championships this August in Bled, Slovenia.
An entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises major, Hubbard rowed in the Varsity 8 boat during the 2018-19 postseason, placing seventh at Eastern Sprints and ninth at the IRA National Championship Regatta. The Boca Raton, Fla., native was recently named Syracuse's Male Scholar-Athlete of the week on March 30.
