Syracuse (4-9-1. 0-7Â ACC) begins a two-game road trip when it plays at Clemson (9-5, 4-3 ACC) on Thursday night, Oct. 21, at 7:00 p.m. For fans who are unable to attend the match at Riggs Stadium, it will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
Following the Clemson encounter, the Orange will travel to Raleigh, N.C. for a Sunday contest with NC State.
SETTING THE STAGE
Syracuse scored first, but was unable to contain Pittsburgh the rest of the way in a 4-2 loss on Monday.
Clemson won at Miami on Saturday, 1-0. The Tigers won seven of their first nine matches this season but have gone 2-3 since.
THE SYRACUSE-CLEMSON SERIES
Clemson has a 6-0-1 advantage in the all-time meetings with Syracuse. The Tigers have won all three previous pairings in South Carolina.
The most recent contest between Syracuse and Clemson was in 2019. The Tigers were victorious, 4-1.
PROULX POWER
Senior goalkeeper Lysianne Proulx, who ranks fourth in career saves at Syracuse, has posted double-digit save totals in three of the last four games. She had 12 stops versus the Panthers on Monday.
CLEMSON'S SOPHOMORE SCORING STANDOUT
Sophomore midfielder Megan Bornkamp enters Thursday's match as Clemson's top scorer. She has accumulated eight goals and six assists this fall. She's posted two-goal outings against St. Francis (PA) and versus the College of Charleston, this season.
