Meet Preview:
Both the Orange men and women are the favorites according the most recent USTFCCCA Regional Rankings, as 'Cuse is the top seed in both.
The Orange men are pitted ahead of Harvard, Providence, Iona and UMass Lowell in the rankings for the top five. The women are ahead of Providence, UConn, Harvard and Yale in succession.
About Regionals:
The race is for one-of-two automatic qualifying spots to next week's NCAA Championships. The top-two teams in each region get an automatic spot. After that, at large selections are made for the remaining participating teams.
This is the first 10k event of the season on the men's side, while the women will run a 6k.
Entries:
Holly Bent, Annie Boos, Justus Holden-Betts, Sophia Jacobs-Townsley, Emily Lane, Sydney Nowicki, Savannah Roark, Abigail Spiers, Amanda Vestri and Reilly Zink will toe the line for the Orange on Friday.
Noah Beveridge, Alex Comerford, Silas Derfel, Joe Dragon, Joey Eovaldi, Nathan Henderson, Matthew Scrape, Brody Smith, Aidan Tooker, JP Trojan and Ethan Wechsler are entered for the 'Cuse men.
Last Time Out:
The Syracuse men's cross country team finished second to No. 8 Notre Dame, while the Orange women took fourth overall, their best finish since 2018 at the ACC Championships.

Syracuse (second and fourth), North Carolina (second and fourth) were the only two programs to put both its men's and women's teams in the top four.
Amanda Vestri was third overall to lead the women, while Joe Dragon led the way on the men's side with an eighth-place finish.
