ORANGE BEGIN FINAL STRETCH OF REGULAR SEASON
• Syracuse plays two of its final three games on the road, beginning with Saturday's contest.
• 'Cuse is looking to extend its winning streak to three, which would be its longest of the year.
• The Orange will travel to Louisville for the third-consecutive season.
• The game will air on ACC Regional Sports Networks, with Evan Lepler (PxP), Brian Jordan (analyst) and Wiley Ballard (reporter) on the call. YES Network will carry the game in New York, for other affiliates, click here: ACC RSN. For those living in a region in which the game is being carried, streaming is available through BallySports. The WatchESPN app is an option for anyone living outside of the ACC RSN markets, but will be blacked out within the ACC RSN footprint.
SERIES HISTORY
• Saturday's game marks the 20th all-time meeting between Syracuse and Louisville. Seventeen of those pairings have come as conference foes first in The BIG EAST and now in the ACC. The Cardinals lead the all-time series, 12-7.
• The Orange will visit Louisville for the third-straight year, which is a first in the series that dates back to 1985. One school has hosted two straight games only one time previously - 2012 and 2014 (Syracuse). The teams did not play in 2013 when Syracuse left the BIG EAST to join the ACC.
• The winning team in five of the last eight meetings has scored 40 or more points.
• Syracuse's only game outside of North America was played against Louisville in the 1989 Coca-Cola Bowl in Tokyo.
TUCKER NEAR THE GOAL LINE
• Freshman RB Sean Tucker is in position to break Syracuse's single-season rushing record.
• He enters Saturday's game with 1,267 yards this season. He needs 80 yards to pass Walter Reyes for second place and 106 to break Joe Morris' mark that was set in 1979.
• Tucker ranks second in the nation in rushing with 1,267 yards. He trails Michigan State's Kenneth Walker III by 73 yards for the top spot.
• Tucker also ranks second in rushing yards per game (140.8) behind Walker III (148.9).
• Tucker was the first FBS player to reach 1,000 yards rushing this season with his performance against Virginia Tech.
• He is one of 15 semifinalist for the Maxwell Award, presented annually to the nation's most outstanding college football player.
DYNAMIC DUO
• RB Sean Tucker and QB Garrett Shrader have formed one of the top offensive duos in the nation.
• The pair has rushed for a combined 1,937 yards, which is the most for any two FBS teammates. The next closest are Abram Smith and Trestan Ebner from Baylor (1,656).
• The 1,937 yards would position them as the 22nd best team in total rushing yards. Overall, Syracuse ranks third in the nation in rushing (247.7/gm.).
• Shrader and Tucker have the most rushing touchdowns from scrimmage than any other pair (24). Their 26 total touchdowns from scrimmage also rank first nationally.
• With one more rushing or receiving TD by either, Shrader and Tucker will be the highest single-season scoring tandem in school history. Syracuse has had two players combine for 26 rushing and/or receiving touchdowns three times before this season (1959, 2002 and 2003).
• Shrader and Tucker are tied for 13th on the Orange's single-season touchdowns scored list with 13 apiece. In addition, Shrader is tied for sixth for most rushing TDs in a season, while Tucker is tied for 13th.
BYE, BYE, BYE
• Since 2009, Syracuse is 11-8 in games when it has an additional week to prepare, including a 7-8 record in regular-season games after a bye. The Orange's other four victories in that time are bowl wins that followed the 2010, 2012, 2013 and 2018 campaigns.
• Head coach Dino Babers has won two of his last-four games with an additional week of preparation. The 2018 Orange defeated West Virginia (Camping World Bowl) and North Carolina in 2018, but lost to NC State in 2019 on a Thursday night contest following a bye weekend and lost to Duke last season.
A WIN WOULD …Â
• Improve Dino Babers' record to 30-40 as head coach of the Orange.
• Make Syracuse bowl eligible for the second time under the direction of head coach Dino Babers.
• Give Syracuse its 742nd all-time victory (includes 11 wins from 2004-06 that were vacated by the NCAA). The Orange currently rank 22nd on the FBS ledger of winningest programs. Syracuse is one of 31 FBS schools to have accumulated 700+ wins.
SEE THE ORANGE RUN
• Syracuse is third in the nation and first in the ACC in rushing offense (247.7 ypg).
• The Orange have the second-most rushes from scrimmage of 10+ yards (76),  20+ yards (24) and 40+ yards (8) in the nation. In addition, Syracuse's 11 30+ yard runs tie for fourth nationally.Â
THE HEAT IS ON
• Syracuse is fourth in the FBS and first in the ACC in sacks with 33.
• The 33 sacks in nine games tie for ninth on the Orange's single-season record list. It's the most sacks for Syracuse since 2018 when it set the all-time mark with 43.
• DL Cody Roscoe recorded three sacks against UAlbany, while DL Kingsley Jonathan had three sacks against Boston College. The pair are tied for 12th for the most sacks in a FBS game this season.
• Roscoe is tied for the top spot in the ACC with eight sacks. Stefon Thompson is sixth with six and ranks second among the league's linebackers.
• The Orange have four players in the top 20 in the ACC in sacks. Syracuse is the only school in the league that can make that claim.
STINGY ON DEFENSE
• Syracuse is ranked 14th in the nation and leads  the ACC in total defense. The Orange are giving up 316.7 yards per game.Â
• 'Cuse is on pace for its best defensive performance since 2010 when it allowed just 301.5 yards per game.
• The Orange have not held their opponents to less than 400 yards per game since 2014.
• Syracuse has held its opponents to less than 100 yards rushing four times in nine games this season.
• The Orange did not allow a touchdown against Boston College, marking the second time this season they have accomplished the feat.
• Syracuse has shut out its opponents in 11 of 36 quarters (.306 percent) this season.
THE POINT OF NO RETURN
• Syracuse ranks 13th in the nation in kickoff return defense (17.04).
• LB Geoff Cantin-Arku leads the team in special teams tackles (7), while LB Marlowe Wax is right behind with six.
