Junior guard Joseph Girard III led the Orange with 27 points and added eight assists and seven rebounds. Senior guard Buddy Boeheim contributed 19 points and graduate forward JImmy Boeheim had 11 points and 10 rebounds for his first double-double with the Orange.
Graduate guard Jack Ferguson led the Raiders with 25 points, four rebounds and three steals. Senior guard Nelly Cummings added 18 points. Each player converted six 3-pointers in the win.

"The game was determined by the offensive rebounding and the 3-point shooting. We didn't defend very well and we didn't rebound."

HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED
Colgate overcame a sluggish start that included missing its first 12 3-point attempts. Trailing 31-22 with 7:34 left in the opening half, the Raiders finished the half with a 24-12 run and never trailed again. Ferguson had seven and Cummings six in the key stretch.

A STRONG BEGINNING
Syracuse opened the game with three straight baskets and quickly led 22-5 after seven minutes of play. Girard III and Buddy Boeheim had seven points apiece and Jimmy Boeheim recorded six boards during the hot start.
THE RAIDERS MAINTAIN
The Orange were able to narrow the deficit to two points twice in the first two minutes of the second half before Colgate extended the margin to nine with a 9-2 run. Ferguson scored six of those nine Colgate points.
Senior forward Cole Swider hit two free throws to shave the lead to five, 84-79, with 3:58 remaining. Colgate responded with seven straight points to put the game out of reach.
NOTABLE NUMBERS
The Orange travel to the Bahamas for the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament. They play VCU in the first game on Wednesday, Nov. 24 at 5 p.m. The slate for Thursday (Nov. 25) and Friday (Nov. 26) will be decided after the conclusion of the games the day prior.

- Cogate's most recent victory against Syracuse was a 67-63 decision on Feb. 24, 1962, in Manley Field House.
- The 18 3-pointers by the Raiders tied the Dome opponent record set by Virginia on March 4, 2019.
- Buddy Boeheim passed Jack Kiley and Jonny Flynn on the Syracuse career 1,000-point list. He finished the evening with 1,212 points, putting him in a 45th-place tie with Wendell Alexis at 45th.
- The Orange outscored the Raiders 32-28 on points in the paint.
- Girard III had a season-high eight assists.
- Jesse Edwards tied his career high of eight rebounds.
