Women's Basketball Hosts Colgate Sunday

Syracuse (2-4) will host Colgate (1-4) on Sunday, Nov. 28 for a 2 p.m. non-conference game at the Carrier Dome. Fans can watch the game live on ACCNX through the ESPN app.Â
Syracuse is coming off an 88-79 loss to Buffalo in the final game of the Bad Boy Mowers Women's Battle 4 Atlantis on Monday night. The Orange are 2-1 at home this season with their lone home loss being to Notre Dame on Nov. 14 in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opener. The Orange are led in scoring by Christianna Carr (13.7 points per game) and Chrislyn Carr (13.0 ppg). Redshirt sophomore Teisha Hyman is Syracuse's third player averaging double figures in scoring with 10.8 points per game while adding a team-best 6.8 rebounds per game.Â
Colgate is 1-4 this season and also rides a three-game losing streak into Sunday's matinee. The Raiders lone win was a 61-52 home win over UMBC on Nov. 13. Alexa Brodie leads the team with 12.4 points and 2.4 rebounds per game and is shooting 39.6 percent from the field through the first five games. Colgate's rebounding leader, Taylor Langan (6.7 rpg) is also adding 10.3 points per game.Â
Sunday is the first regular season meeting between the two teams since Syracuse routed Colgate 79-39 behind a 19 point and nine rebound performance from Miranda Drummond on Dec. 6, 2017.Â
