2/12/2021 1:46:00 PM | Men's Basketball
As the Syracuse Orange prepare to host Boston College in the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Feb. 13 (2 p.m., ACC Network), we continue our Q&A series to help you get to know your Orange! In this edition we talk with junior forward Alan Griffin!
You have a sister, Aubrey, who is a starter at Connecticut. Do you keep track of how she is doing?
Yes, I watch her games. She is doing very well – scoring, rebounding and bringing energy. I love to see it!
Â
What has been the biggest adjustment you have had to make in your game this year?
I have had a different role here, which is why I came to Syracuse. I am just trying to play the game of basketball and let the game come to me.
Your dad, Adrian, is an assistant coach with the Toronto Raptors and was an accomplished college and NBA Player. What is the best basketball advice he has given you?
My dad has been teaching me about basketball since I was younger. A lot of that has stuck with me.
You have had one of the most dramatic plays of the season – blocking a shot by Buffalo at the end of regulation that put the game into overtime. What do you remember about that sequence?
It was a hustle play! I did not give up on the play. Right when we had the turnover, I thought I might have a chance at a block.
