ALBANY, N.Y. – Syracuse goes for its second consecutive win when it takes on UAlbany on Friday Feb. 19 at 1:30 p.m. The teams will meet in at Afrim's Sports Park.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse posted a 0-3-2 mark in the fall portion of its schedule but won its first game of the spring last weekend against Hofstra. The Orange tied a season high in goals in the 2-1 win against the Pride. Abdi Salim and Jeorgio Kocevski both found the back of the net on assists from Noah Singelmann. Â

Singelmann leads the 'Cuse with five points on a goal and three assists. Redshirt sophomore Russell Shealy started in goal for the third consecutive game and posted his first win as a member of the Orange. Shealy has a 0.93 goals-against average and a .857 save percentage.

ARCHIMEDE PICKED 13TH IN MLS SUPERDRAFT
Syracuse senior forward Luther Archimede was drafted by the New York Red Bulls in the first round with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2021 Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft held on Thursday, Jan. 21. It marks the seventh consecutive year that the Orange has had at least one player picked in the first round.

Senior Sondre Norheim was also selected in the third round by Nashville SC, but elected to return to the Orange for the spring semester.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany will make its 2020-21 debut on Friday. The Great Danes are led by head coach Trevor Gorman, who is entering his 10th season with the program.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse and UAlbany meet for the 11th time. The Orange own a 7-2-1 advantage in the series. In 2016, the Great Danes edged out the Orange with a 2-1 victory. Kamal Miller scored the lone goal for Syracuse.
