The Orange added junior college offensive line prospect Jakob Bradford from Iowa Central Community College and defensive end Chase Simmons from South Carolina to its haul, plus officially announced transfer quarterback Garrett Shrader from Mississippi State.
Bradford is listed as one of the top-10 JUCO offensive line talents. Iowa Central CC did not have a 2020 season, but he was an all-conference selection as a freshman in 2019.
Simmons is a dual-sport athlete who was named an all-state selection in South Carolina. He was also a standout wrestler in high school. One of the top-10 ranked JUCO offensive tackles in the class of '21 is officially Orange.

Shrader joins the Orange after spending two seasons at Mississippi State. He appeared in 10 games with four starts as a true freshman in 2019 and was one-of-three FBS quarterbacks to account for over 1,000 yards passing and 400-yards rushing. He finished the season third in the SEC in yards per completion (13.3).

Syracuse's class - including Shrader - is now split up with 13 offensive players and nine defensive players.
Look back at how Syracuse's new additions mesh with those who pledged to the Orange in December:
Offensive line was the position which Syracuse targeted the most, signing six players - including the class' top-ranked offensive player in four-star Enrique Cruz.
In addition to Cruz, a Chicago native, Syracuse added two more linemen from the Midwest, in Wes Hoeh (Illinois) and Tyler Magnuson (Minnesota) and a pair of Hawaiians in Kalan Ellis and Austyn Kauhi.
One player in particular who's set to benefit from the offensive line presence is QB Justin Lamson. The only freshman quarterback in the class, Lamson comes to 'Cuse from California.

There are also some weapons in the class, including running back Josh Hough
'Cuse also added three wideouts, Umari Hatcher (Virginia), Oronde Gadsden II (Florida) and Kendall Long (South Carolina), plus tight end Landon Morris (Indiana)
