LOUISVILLE, Ky. --Â Syracuse men's soccer battles Louisville on Friday, March 12 at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Stadium. It will be the second meeting between the two teams in 2020-21.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (1-5-3) took on the No. 1 team in the nation last Sunday in its spring ACC opener. Top-ranked Clemson took an early lead, but the Orange tied the score on Noah Singelmann's goal in the 10th minute. The Tigers answered less than three minutes later and tallied an insurance goal in the 51st minute for a 3-1 final.

SINGELMANN MAKING HIS MARK
Noah Singelmann has led the Syracuse offense since the season started back up in February. In the four matches, he has two goals and two assists. The Rheinstetten, Germany native now leads the team in points (9), goals (3) and assists (3).

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
Friday's match is the second game for the Cardinals in the Spring season after a 2-5-1 fall campaign. Louisville defeated NC State, 3-0, last Thursday night.

Pedro Fonseca had a goal and an assist against the Wolfpack. He is Louisville's leading scorer with four goals and 11 points.

John-Michael Hayden is in his second season at the helm of the Cardinals' program. He served as an assistant coach at Louisville for four seasons prior to being named head coach in December 2018.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse and Louisville meet for the 16th time. The Orange own the series advantage at 9-2-5. In October, Syracuse and Louisville played to a 2-2 tie. Freshman Deandre Kerr scored both goals for the Orange.
