Syracuse (6-5) earned a 5-3 win over Charlotte on Sunday morning before losing 3-2 to Campbell in at the Green & White Classic hosted by Charlotte.

A three-run inning in the top of the fifth propelled the Orange past host Charlotte in the first game of the day. 'Cuse held off a late rally by the 49ers who hit back-to-back home runs in the bottom of the sixth but Alexa Romero was able to work her way out of the jam stranding to runners on base. Kaia Oliver closed the door and earned the save retiring all three batters she faced in the final frame.

Lindsey Hendrix earned her first win of the season going four and a third innings with one unearned run, a strikeout. Hendrix retired 10 of the 19 batters she faced on a fly out.

Neli Casares-Maher and Gabby Teran both hit home runs in the win. Casares-Maher and Geana Torres both had multi-hit games and the Orange put up eight hits on Charlotte.

Against Campbell, the Camels took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning. Syracuse responded in the fourth when Rebecca Clyde hit a RBI single up the middle to score Casares-Maher. Teran then reached on a error and Toni Martin scored on the play to tie the game at 2-2.

Bri Bryant singled to left field in the bottom of the fifth and Zaria Dunlap scored on a fielding error by the Orange. Syracuse was unable to counter and left a runner on base in the final frame.

Romero was given the loss pitching two innings allowing one unearned run with two strikeouts. Jolie Gustave started the game with 2.2 innings of work striking out two and walking one. Oliver closed the game tossing the final four outs in her eighth appearance this season.

The Orange return to action March 19 for the first game of a four-game ACC series at Duke.
