This Week in Syracuse Softball: Orange Face #14 Blue Devils on the Road

SYRACUSE, N.Y.—Syracuse travels to Durham for a four-game series against ACC opponent Duke (20-1, ACC 8-1) this weekend. Starting on Friday, the Orange will play a single game at 5 pm, a double header on Saturday (2 and 4:30 p.m.) and will wrap up the series on Sunday at 5 p.m. Friday's series opener is slated for ACCNX where fans can stream the game through the ESPN app. The remainder of the series will be televised live nationally on ACC Network.
Syracuse is 6-5 this season and has won four of its last six games. Last weekend the Orange went 2-2 at the Green & White Classic hosted by Charlotte. The Orange are sitting at 4-4 in games played in the state of North Carolina this season with 2-2 record at the ACC Pod Weekend and a 2-2 mark last weekend in Charlotte.
Duke is coming into this weekend on a 14-game win streak and has climbed to No. 14 in the national poll. The Blue Devils had an early season victory over No. 5 LSU on Baton Rouge and haven't looked back. Duke is coming off series sweep of Virginia last weekend and a 3-0 midweek win over Elon on Wednesday on the road.
'Cuse vs. Duke is to be played at Duke Softball Stadium where there will be no fans in attendance due to COVID-19 restrictions.
