RALEIGH, N.C. -- Syracuse men's soccer looks to build on its momentum from last weekend when it takes on NC State in Raleigh on Friday, March 26. Start time at WRAL Soccer Park is set for 7 p.m.
ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (1-6-4) tied then No. 15 North Carolina, 0-0, last time out at the SU Soccer Stadium. Goalkeeper Russell Shealy played all 110 minutes in net and recorded his first shutout of the season. The clean sheet came against a Tar Heels team that averages 1.18 goals per game.
SCOUTING THE WOLFPACK
Friday's match against Syracuse is NC State's sixth match of the spring season. Including the games played last fall, the Wolfpack are 2-8-2 overall. NC state is coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 1 Clemson.
Junior Ivy Brisma leads the Wolfpack with five points this season on two goals and one assist. Fellow junior Kuda Muskwe is second in points with four.
Head coach George Kiefer has been at the helm of the Wolfpack program since 2017.
SERIES HISTORY
The Orange hold a 5-2-2 lead in the all-time series. The last time these two faced off was in 2019 at the SU Soccer Stadium. The 'Cuse defeated NC State, 3-0.
