
Five Things to Know: #5 Syracuse vs. #4 Florida State

Syracuse, the No. 5 seed in the ACC Tournament, advanced to the quarterfinal round with a 67-61 in over No. 13 Boston College on Thursday. The Orange will face No. 4 seed Florida State on Friday, March 5 at 2:30 p.m. The game will be televised on regional sports networks and is available to stream on the Fox Sports Go app.Â
Here is five things to know before Friday's quarterfinal matchup with the Seminoles.Â
1. Syracuse and Florida State met once in the regular season on Feb. 11 in Tallahassee, Fla. The Seminoles won, 67-52, holding the Orange to their lowest point total in ACC play this season. Kamilla Cardoso led the Orange in scoring with 14 points while Tiana Mangakahia and Kiara Lewis added 13 and 12 points a piece, respectively.Â
2. Syracuse is 8-7 all-time in the ACC Tournament after Thursday's second round win. The Orange reach the quarterfinals for the third-straight season and are 2-2 in quarterfinal games.Â
3. Fans unable to watch Friday's game on regional sports networks can stream the game live through the Fox Sports Go app. YES Network, Syracuse's regional sports network, will not carry Sunday's game due to a Yankees spring training game so fans in New York will need to stream the game through a third party app. Out of market fans can use the ESPN app to stream the game.Â
4. The Orange and Seminoles have split the all-time series 4-4 but 'Cuse has won three of the last four matchups. In each of the three Syracuse wins in the last four games Florida State was ranked in the Associated Press Top-25. Friday is the first time the two squads will meet in the ACC Tournament.Â
5. Friday's winner will advance to play No. 1 see Louisville in the semifinals at Noon on Saturday, March 6. The game will be televised live on ACC Network.Â
