Syracuse's spot remains unchanged in the national polls following a victory over Vermont on Saturday.
Syracuse stands at No. 7 in the USILA poll and No. 6 in the Inside Lacrosse media poll heading into its fourth week of the season.
The top three remains the same in the USILA poll, with North Carolina remaining No. 1 (386 points, 11 first-place votes), followed by Duke (384 points, six first-place votes) and Maryland (362 points, two first-place votes). Rutgers (326 points, one first-place votes) and Georgetown (315 points) flipped spots this week to round out the top-five. Army (286) sits just two points ahead of Syracuse (284), just outside the top five.
The entire ACC is once again ranked in the top nine, with Virginia and Notre Dame just behind Syracuse. If the poll holds as is, Syracuse has or will play six of its 12 games against top-10 opponents (five ACC games, plus Army) and will also face No. 14 Albany this season.
The Inside Lacrosse media poll stayed the same, with Duke (424/11 first-place votes), North Carolina (420/eight first-place votes), Maryland (401/two first-place votes), Rutgers (356) and Georgetown (351) comprising the top-five. Syracuse has 324 points this week.
Syracuse is back in action Friday, March 12 at 1 p.m. when they host Stony Brook. The game will be televised on ACC Network.
