THE GAME
- Syracuse looks to snap a three-game ACC losing streak when the Orange head to Charlottesville on Saturday.
- The game will be broadcast on ESPN2 with Anish Shroff '04 (PxP) and Paul Carcaterra '97 (analyst) on the call. Brian Higgins '04 (PxP) and Kyle Fetterly '09 (analyst) will broadcast the action on TK99/105, Cuse.com and the TuneIn App, while WAER will also carry the game.

THE VIRGINIA SERIES
- Syracuse and UVA square off for the second time this season and 38th time in total, after Syracuse won 20-10 in the Dome in February. The 10-goal win was an outlier in an otherwise even series.
- The all-time series is tied 19-18. The Orange have scored 486 goals, UVA has netted 476. Heading into this season, they were knotted at 466 apiece and 18 wins each. The game has been decided by one goal on 17 occasions - including five of the last-six meetings. Seven of those one-goal games went to overtime.
- The Orange have not played in Charlottesville since the 2018 ACC Tournament.

EFFICIENCY IS KEY
- Stephen Rehfuss enters Saturday's game as one-of-four players nationally to be shooting over 50-percent and also have 20+ goals on the year. Rehfuss has 21 goals on 42 shots this season (.500 pct.).
-Maryland's Jared Bernhardt (39 goals/.500 shot pct.) and Dylan Maltz (27 goals/.628 shot pct.) and Richmond's Dalton Young (20 goals/.500 shot pct.) are the only other three players to do so this year.
-Brendan Bomberry is the last Syracuse player to score 20+ goals and have a shooting percentage over 50-percent. In 2017, he scored 28 goals while shooting .509.
-As a team, Syracuse ranks 11th nationally in shooting percentage (.325).

CONFERENCE KINGS
- The Orange have finished with a .500-or-better record against conference opponents for the last five seasons (2015- 2019, the Orange did not play a conference game in 2020).
- Since joining the ACC, Syracuse has the second-best record in regular season league games (17-12) and also has two ACC Tournament titles. Duke holds an 18-11 record in that time. Notre Dame (15-13), North Carolina (14-15) and Virginia (7-22) make up the remaining records.
- 'Cuse was 4-0 in league play in the 2017 and 2018 seasons and has never finished worse than 2-3 2014, its inaugural season in the league. The Orange have been .500 or better each year since.
- For that dominance, head coach John Desko has become the first coach in the history of the league to win ACC Men's Lacrosse Coach of the Year in four-straight (2015-18) seasons. No other coach has done so even three times.

A WIN AGAINST VIRGINIA WOULD...
- Be the program's 923rd victory, second all-time behind Johns Hopkins.
- Move head coach John Desko past Tony Seaman (263) for sole possession of 15th on the NCAA Division I wins list.
- Improve Syracuse to 2-3 in league play this season and extend their record to 18-12 in conference games since joining the ACC in 2014. That record is the second best among any ACC programs.
- Be the 528th win Desko has been part of at Syracuse, including his time as a player, assistant and head coach. Only 18 NCAA Division I programs have more total wins as a program than Desko has been on the Orange sideline for.
