#8 Orange Set to Race #4 Rutgers and Princeton

The 8th-ranked Syracuse University women's rowing team will race fourth-ranked Rutgers and Princeton on Sunday, May 2nd on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, NJ. The second varsity four and third varsity four will begin the racing at 11 am, followed by the varsity eight at 11:20 am, second varsity eight at 11:40 am, and the varsity four at 12 pm. Fans are invited to watch the races live on Instagram (@CuseWRowing).

Syracuse opened the 2021 season at Rutgers also on Mercer Lake. The Orange Varsity 4, which included stroke Eliza Yager, third-seat Katherine Ryan, two-seat Margaret Sweeney, bow Junior Ognovich and coxswain Emma Dziedzic, beat the Scarlett Knights by more than five seconds. Rutgers won the remaining races, including the varsity eight, second varsity eight, third varsity eight and second varsity four.

The last time the Orange raced Princeton in 2019, the Orange won the third varsity eight while seventh-ranked Princeton won the other four races.
