Justus Holden-Betts out-performed her seed by 17 places, taking 30th overall in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the NCAA East Prelims on Saturday.
Holden-Betts crossed the line in 10:32.37, in what was Syracuse's final race of the four-day event, falling short of qualifying for Eugene.
The Orange will send four athletes to the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, which begin June 9 in Eugene, Oregon. Aidan Tooker (3,000-meter steeplechase), Amanda Vestri (10,000-meters), Annie Heffernan (10,000-meters) and JP Trojan (10,000-meters) will race for 'Cuse.
The four qualifiers are the most for Syracuse since 2018 (the 2020 championships were canceled), when the team had three runners earn First Team All-America honors.
