SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse is No. 2 in the final Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association poll. The Orange posted a 17-4 record this season and advanced to the championship game for the third time in program history.
The No. 2 final ranking equals the Orange's best finish in the IWLCA poll. Syracuse was also second in 2012 and 2014 when it also was the national runner-up.
The Orange faced the toughest schedule in the nation, playing 14 games against teams that were ranked in the top 10 in the final poll.
