Orange to Face Five NCAA Tourney Teams in 2021

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse will host 2019 national champion Georgetown and visit 2020 national semifinalist Pittsburgh this season. The Orange will face five squads that played in last year's NCAA Tournament, including ACC champion Clemson.

Syracuse will play three exhibition matches in preparation for the 2021 campaign. The Orange hosts Canisius (Aug. 14) and Siena (Aug. 17) before visiting Rutgers (Aug. 21). The season opener is set for Aug. 26 against Drexel at the SU Soccer Stadium.

The 'Cuse goes on the road to take on Penn State on Aug. 29 before returning home to face the Hoyas on Sept. 3. After a home contest against Niagara on Sept. 6, the Orange visit Virginia, the 2019 national runner-up, in their ACC opener on Sept. 10.

Syracuse will then play four of its next five games at home. Conference foes Louisville (Sept. 17) and Duke (Sept. 25) will travel to the SU Soccer Stadium during the homestand, which concludes with a Sept. 28 game against Vermont.

The Orange go on the road to face Pitt on Oct. 1 and then hosts Colgate on Oct. 5 in their final non-conference match of the season. Syracuse ends the regular season with four straight ACC matches. The Orange host NC State (Oct. 8) and defending conference champion Clemson (Oct. 23) and will go on the road to face Boston College (Oct. 15) and Wake Forest (Oct. 29).

The ACC Championship gets underway on Nov. 3, followed by quarterfinals on Nov. 7. Semifinal games will be played on Nov. 10. The title match is set for Sunday, Nov. 14 at WakeMed Soccer Park.
