The Orange travel to Cornell on Tuesday (Sept. 21) at 7 p.m. to play the Big Red at Charles F. Berman Field. Syracuse is 4-3 and 1-1 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, while Cornell is 4-1. ORANGE UPDATE- Syracuse is 1-1 in ACC play this season following a double overtime loss against ARV Louisville (4-2 overall, 2-0 ACC) last Friday. Sophomore forward Deandre Kerr recorded two goals for the Orange and freshman forward Curt Calov scored one goal in the second half. Junior defender Christian Curti tied the game at four off an assist from senior midfielder Colin Biros. Louisville scored in the 103rd minute of double overtime for the 5-4 win.

SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday's match will be the 73rd meeting between the Orange and the Big Red. The first matchup dates back to 1921, and the most recent was in 2019. The Orange have won the last two games against Cornell including the 2019 matchup resulting in a 3-2 overtime win for Syracuse.

- Head Coach John Smith is in his sixth season leading the program.
- Cornell returns to play this season for the first time since the 2019-20 season after the Ivy League's decision to pause winter sports for the 2020-21 season as result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- The Big Red were selected to finish second in the Ivy League Preseason Media Poll.
- Fifth-year midfielder Tyler Bagley was recently named Ivy League Player of the Week and was chosen as United Soccer Coaches and Top Drawer Soccer National Player of the Week.
- Cornell received one vote in the United Soccer Coaches Poll for the week of September 14th.
ORANGE TO WATCH
- Kerr leads the team in goals with seven in four games. He is ranked first in the ACC in goals scored and in points.
- Calov has five goals this season which ranks seventh in the ACC.
- Graduate student goalie Lucas Daunhauer recorded a clean sheet in the game against Niagara and recorded three saves against both Virginia and Louisville.
