SYRACUSE N.Y.- Syracuse hosts Vermont on Tuesday (Sept. 28) at 7 p.m. at SU Soccer Stadium. The Orange are 4-4-1 overall and 1-2 in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play. Vermont is 5-2-1 overall and is 0-1 in American East Conference (AEC) play. All fans attending games must adhere to Syracuse University's COVID-19 policy, which can be found here.

ORANGE UPDATE
The Orange are coming off a 1-0 loss to sixth-ranked Duke in a defensive battle on Saturday night (Sept. 25). The goal was scored by sophomore midfielder Peter Stroud in the 81st minute of the game to secure the win for the Blue Devils.

SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS

Head coach Rob Dow is in his fifth season leading the program.
Vermont was selected to finish second in the 2021 AEC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Senior midfielder Alex Nagy and junior defender Noah Egan were named to the 2021 Men's Hermann Trophy Preseason Watch List. This is the most prestigious award in college soccer, presented annually to the nation's top NCAA Division I soccer player.
The Catamounts are coming off a double-overtime loss to Harvard on Friday night (Sept. 24).

ORANGE TO WATCH

Sophomore forward Deandre Kerr leads the team and leads the ACC in goals and points with seven goals and 16 points on the season.
Freshman forward Curt Calov has four goals in his collegiate campaign.
Graduate student goalie Lucas Daunhauer recorded six saves against Cornell and had a clean sheet against Niagara.

THE SERIES
Tuesday's match will be the fifth match between the Orange and the Catamounts. The teams have not faced each other since 1994 in the Nations Credit Tournament. Syracuse leads the series 2-1-1.

UP NEXT
The Orange travel to 15th ranked Pittsburgh on Friday (Oct. 1) for an ACC match at 7 p.m. and return home to host Colgate on Tuesday (Oct. 5) at 7 p.m.
