SENIORS BACK IN THE DOME
Senior Starters Jesse Edwards and Joseph Girard III return for another year with the Orange. Edwards reached double-digits in points in 16 out of 24 games last season and led the team with 39 dunks. Before the Amsterdam, Netherlands native had his season end with an injury 24 games in, Edwards saw his scoring average rise from 1.9 to 12.0 ppg and his rebounding increase from 2.6 to 6.5 rpg.Â
Â
Girard led Syracuse from deep last season by connecting 89 3-pointers, which locked him in the sixth (209) spot on the all-time career three-pointers list. In addition to leading the Orange, the sharpshooter was second in the ACC in three-point field-goal percentage, shooting a.403 clip across the season. The Glen Falls, N.Y. native enters his fourth year with the Orange having already surpassed 1,000 career points. He's started 91 of 93 games and accumulated 1,126 points in his Syracuse tenure.
Â
KEY RETURNERSÂ
