Meet the Orange: #22 Kyra Wood

In this episode of Meet the Orange, sophomore captain Kyra Wood discusses her decision to transfer to Syracuse, her love for football and her hometown Buffalo Bills as well as what she's excited for this upcoming season.
Wood, a Buffalo, N.Y., native transferred to Syracuse after her freshman year at Temple where she started in eight of the final nine games of her rookie campaign. Wood was originally recruited by Syracuse head coach Felisha Legette-Jack in high school but wanted to branch out and go to college away from home. Now, with a new opportunity for Coach Jack at her alma mater, Wood couldn't pass up the opportunity to be a part of special back in her home state.
Wood is a football fanatic, and she is a proud member of Bills Mafia. She discusses her family's love for big tailgates at Bills game, her dream of attending a university with a big gameday environment and what she's looking forward to most this season.
The Meet the Orange miniseries is aimed to introduce fans to the new faces of @CuseWBB and build excitement for Coach Jack's first season leading her alma mater.

Season tickets are on sale now for the 2022-23 Syracuse Women's Basketball season. Don't miss the chance to be a part of the first season of the Felisha Legette-Jack era at Syracuse. Season tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 888-DOME-TIX, or by visiting The Dome box office located at Gate B. General admission season tickets start at $99 per seat and reserved courtside seating begins at $200 with first row courtside seats priced at $250 per seat. Single game tickets purchased in advance begin at $10 for General Admission or $25 for Courtside Reserved and all student tickets are FREE with a Syracuse University student ID.
