ORANGE HOST FLORIDA STATE IN DOME FINALE
• Syracuse plays its final home game of the 2022 campaign Saturday when it hosts Florida State.
• The game will air on ACC Network with Dave O'Brien '86 (PxP), Tim Hasselbeck (analyst) and Kelsey Riggs (reporter) on the call. It marks the fourth game this season that a 'Cuse alum has been part of the broadcast team.
FAN INFORMATION
• Saturday's game is Senior Day in the JMA Dome. Orange seniors playing in their final home game and some draft eligible players who have a post-season decision to make about whether or not they'll return, will be honored in a pregame ceremony. Fans are encouraged to arrive to the Dome early as the senior ceremony will be underway at 7:40 p.m.Â
• Fans are also encouraged to stay after the game to participate in the Senior Walk, when players will return from the locker room for a final lap around the field.
• ACC Network also has studio programming and fan activation opportunities on Friday and Saturday. Click here for more
• It's also Military Appreciation Day in the Dome, sponsored by SEFCU. Leading up to the game, fans had an opportunity to sponsor active duty or military veterans' tickets to the game as part of the SEFCU Military Pass. For much of its over 150 years, Syracuse University has been a proud supporter of veterans and military-connected families. From ROTC to dedicated buildings and spaces, the University is committed to being the best place for veterans. Saturday's game will have other military celebrations during the breaks in the action.
SERIES HISTORY
• Syracuse and Florida State will meet for the 15th time when they take the field on Saturday.Â
• The Seminoles own an 12-2 advantage in the series.Â
• Both of the Orange's wins have come in Syracuse - 1966 in Archbold Stadium and 2018 in the JMA Wireless Dome.Â
• Syracuse faced Florida State each year from 2013-19 as members of the ACC's Atlantic Division. The teams did not play in 2020 when the league adopted a 15-team, one-division format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The teams renewed the series last season.
DOME DEFENDERS
• The Orange are 5-1 in the JMA Wireless Dome this season. A sixth win would equal the most wins at home for Syracuse under the direction of Babers. The Orange posted a 6-0 mark at home in 2018.Â
• 'Cuse has won six home games five times post World War II (2018, 2001, 1988, 1987, 1963).
CLIMBING THE CHARTS
• RB Sean Tucker continues his climb on Syracuse's all-time rushing list. He enters Saturday's game with 2,899 career yards.
• He needs 35 yards to move past Pro Football Hall of Fame and College Football Hall of Fame inductee Larry Csonka (1965-67) for fourth place.
• Tucker is just the sixth running back in program history to surpass 2,800 yards rushing.
A WIN WOULD …Â
• Improve Dino Babers' record to 36-46 as head coach of the Orange.
• Give the Orange a 6-1 record at the JMA Wireless Dome this season, tying for the most wins since the building's construction.
• Give Syracuse its 748th all-time victory (includes 11 wins from 2004-06 that were vacated by the NCAA). The Orange currently rank 22nd on the FBS ledger of winningest programs. Syracuse is one of 32 FBS schools to have accumulated 700+ wins.
