
Women's Basketball Hosts Wagner Sunday at 2PM

The Syracuse women's basketball team (7-2) hosts Wagner (4-4) at the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 2 p.m. Fans unable to attend can watch the game live on ACCNX through the ESPN app.Â
The flex space on the concourse near Gate EÂ will be open with yard games and a pizza giveaway for students as part of Stress Relief Day to relax before the start of finals week on campus.Â
The Orange are 6-0 at home and look to win their third-straight game Sunday afternoon. 'Cuse put together its best offensive performance of the season in a 93-75 win over Coppin State (2-8) on Thursday night. The Orange shot 51.4 percent from the field and had a season-high 93 points. Dyaisha Fair scored a season-best 27 points while Teisha Hyman added 20 points marking the first time two Orange players have recorded 20-point games in tandem this season. Dariauna Lewis was effective on the glass with 13 rebounds while Asia Strong came off the bench to score 16 points on 6-for-10 shooting and a perfect night at the free throw line (4-for-4).Â
Wagner is led by Alex Cowan (12.9 ppg) and Kem Nwabudu with 10.0 points and a team-best 5.3 rebounds per game. The Seahawks average 63.5 points per game and are shooting 38.8 percent from the field. Through four games, Wagner's opponents are shooting 45.8 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from downtown. Wagner has won two of its last three games and hopes to bounce back from a six-point loss, 64-58, at New Hampshire on Monday.Â
Syracuse leads the all-time series 2-0. Sunday is the first time the two will meet since Dec. 14, 2012, when the Orange won, 66-28, at the Carrier Dome.Â
