
Orange Host UAlbany, Welcome Syracuse Area Schools to the Dome Tuesday

For the first time since 2019, Syracuse will host local Syracuse area schools for School Day on Tuesday morning when the Orange (9-2) host UAlbany (6-7) at the JMA Wireless Dome. Admission is FREE for School Day. Tip-off is set for 10:30 a.m. and will be streamed live on ACCNX.Â
The Orange earned its first Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) win under first-year head coach Felisha Legette-Jack on Sunday in their conference opener. Syracuse came from behind to defeat Wake Forest 67-58, outscoring Wake Forest 24-14 in the final quarter. Dyaisha Fair (19.0 ppg) led the team with 25 points, marking her fifth 20-point game of the season while Asia Strong (11 pts, 10 reb), had her second double double of the season.The Orange are 8-0 at home this season and are 8-2 in non-conference play. Tuesday's clash with the Great Danes is the final non-conference game of the season for Syracuse.Â
UAlbany hopes to bounce back from last Friday's 82-57 road loss at No. 3 Ohio State. Ellen Hahne leads the Great Danes with 14.9 points per game and 5.5 rebounds while Helene Haegerstrand averages 13.2 ppg and adds 3.1 rebounds. Haegerstrand was named America East Player of the Week on Monday after leading Albany to a 1-1 week against Stone Hill and OSU. UAlbany started the season 4-0 but is 2-3 in their last five contests.Â
