Syracuse will host #13 Vermont in a weekend series on December 9th and 10th at Tennity Ice Pavilion. Puck drop is set for 6 pm on Friday and 3 pm on Saturday. Both games will be streamed on Cuse.com. The Orange (7-11-1) will look to extend their five-game home win streak. Vermont has an 11-7-1 record this season.

All fans are encouraged to come prepared for the Teddy Bear Toss on Friday. All teddy bears thrown on to the ice at the start of the second intermission will be given to children in the Syracuse area via the United Way of Central New York. On Saturday fans are invited to stay after the game for an autograph session with the team.

Syracuse's special teams units are performing at top national levels statistically. The Orange are ranked in the top 16 in the country and the top two in College Hockey America (CHA) in three special teams categories, including:

- Tied for fourth nationally and first the CHA with four shorthanded goals. Sarah Marchand, Sarah Thompson, Tatum White and Rayla Clemons have tallied shorthanded goals this season.
- Syracuse is tied for 13th nationally and ranks second in the CHA with 11 power play goals. Sarah Thompson has three power play goals which ties for 15th nationally and first in the CHA.
- Syracuse ranks 16th in the nation and second in the CHA in penalty kill percentage (.860).
Orange Notes
- Junior Sarah Thompson paced the Orange with 11 points in November. The forward recorded 6 goals, including a hat trick in a game against Post. Thompson tallied 5 assists this month and won 71-of-103 faceoffs. She earned CHA Forward of the Month and CHA Forward of the Week twice.
- Junior defenseman Hannah Johnson has a team-leading 33 blocks this season, which ranks second in the CHA. Her 100 career blocks ties for 14th on Syracuse's career record list (Nicole Renault, 2012-16). Forward Lauren Bellefontaine ranks fourth on the Syracuse career list with 144 and senior defenseman Mae Batherson is 12th on the career blocks record list with 99.
- Graduate student Lauren Bellefontaine has 95 career points, which ties for sixth on Syracuse's career points record list. Bellefontaine shares the sixth spot with Jessica DiGirolamo. The forward is one point shy from moving up to a tie for fifth place. Bellefontaine had one goal and two assists in the second game at Penn State, marking her sixth career 3+ point game. She has had two or more assists in 10 games at Syracuse. Bellefontaine leads the Orange this season in points (15) and assists (10).
- In six of the last eight games first year, Rhéa Hicks has tallied points. Hicks has a career total nine points in just 19 games played (2 G, 7 A).
- Mae Batherson scored her 11th career goal and 49th career point at Penn State.
- Madison Primeau has scored 13 points in the past nine games, including a goal and an assist at Penn State. Â
