Orange Women Collect First Points of ACC Championship

The Syracuse women's track and field team collected the Orange's first points of the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championship on Thursday night in Blacksburg, Virginia.
The 'Cuse women took eighth in the dirstance medley relay, while the men were just one spot out of scoring in ninth to open the weekend.
Both times were season bests. The SU women finished in 11:20.50. The men finished in 9:53.64, less than two seconds out of the scoring. Virginia Tech swept both events.
A full day of action begins on Friday with prelims and ending with the men's and women's 5k finals.
