Penn Relays Day Two Sees 'Cuse PRs and More Finals Bound

Day two at the Penn Relays saw a few members of the Syracuse track and field teams earn spots in Saturday's finals, while some new personal bests were set in the process.
Jaheem Hayles advanced to Saturday's 110-meter hurdles final, winning his heat with a time of 13.74 seconds. Teammate Anthony Vazquez PRed in the event, finishing in 14.20 seconds.
The 'Cuse women's 4x100-meter relay team is also on to Saturday's final, after they posted a season-best time of 45.65 seconds. Kaleia Arrington, Kahniya James, Janelle Pottinger and Shaleah Colaire was the squad for 'Cuse.
Kahniya James set a new PR in the 100-meter dash. She finished 12th in the event in 11.60 seconds.
Xayvion Perkins had a new personal best in the 400-meter hurdles on Friday with a time of 52.71 seconds. He won his heat and took seventh overall. In the women's event, Colaire (1:00.26) finished 10th.
Colaire also raced in the 100-meter hurdles, taking 19th (14.04 seconds).
The men's 4x100-meter relay squad took 10th overall, finishing in 41.99 seconds. The squad of Anthony Vazquez, Isaiah Lewis, Jaheem Hayles and Trei Thorogood was who raced for the Orange.
James Nmah, Lewis, Naseem Smith and Thorogood raced in the 4x200-meter relay, which finished ninth in 1:27.38.
