
'Cuse Wins 3 Events at Virginia Grand Prix

Syracuse competitors won three of the four events they competed in at Sunday's Virginia Grand Prix, concluding a busy weekend for the Syracuse track and field teams across three meets.
Annie Boos won the 3000-meter steeplechase with a new personal-best time of 10:08.52. Her race moved her up to fourth on Syracuse's all-time performers list in the event and 13th among those vying for position at the NCAA East Prelims later this month. Teammate Justus Holden-Betts (10:44.18) finished fourth.
Nathan Henderson closed down the meet with a win in the 1500-meters to end the day. He crossed the line in 3:42.45 for the victory. Kevin Robertson took sixth in a new personal-best time of 3:46.26.
In the women's 5000-meter run, the Orange took the top-two places. Led by Savannah Roark (17:15.33), Emily Lane was second in 18:08.52 for 'Cuse to sweep the top-two spots.
Alex Comerford finished second in the men's race, crossing the line in 14:12.48. Jack Whetstone was fourth (14:22.25), while Silas Derfel (14:30.11) and Ethan Wechsler (14:33.74) finished eighth and ninth. Wechsler's time was a new PR.
