#7 Orange Set for Eastern Sprints Sunday

On Sunday, May 15, the Orange line up with some of the top crews on the east coast at the Eastern Sprints in Worcester, Mass. Fans can follow along with live results or watch the Eastern Sprints live, free of charge, online.
Racing gets underway at Lake Quinsigamond at 8 am and the first Syracuse race of the day is at 8:12 am with the fourth varsity eight racing Yale, Harvard, Boston University, Navy and Holy Cross in the second heat. The top three in the heat advance to the Grand Final.
Next is the 3V8 in Heat #2 against Harvard, Dartmouth, Navy, Wisconsin and Penn. The top three finishers will advance to the afternoon's Grand Final. The varsity eight, which ranks seventh in the nation entering Sunday's Eastern Sprints, lines up against #3 Dartmouth, #11 Boston U, #14 Navy and (RV) Holy Cross.
The Orange went 2-1 against the other teams in the their heat during the regular season losing to only #5 Dartmouth in the Packard Cup trophy race on April 30. It will be the first time SU races Holy Cross this season. The top two crews will advance to the Grand Final.Â
The last races of the morning session are the 2V8 heats. Syracuse will start at 10:12 in Heat #1 with Yale, Princeton, Cornell and Columbia. The first and second teams to cross the line will advance to the Grand Final in the afternoon.
The finals for the heavyweight varsity eights begin at 2:12 with the 4V8 Petite Final followed by the Grand Final.
